Trailer: “Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone” (2020)
A new trailer is out for “Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone” which is essentially a new cut of “The Godfather Part III”.
Having recently recut and re-released both “Apocalypse Now” and “The Cotton Club” in the past two years, Francis Ford Coppola turns his attention to the last of “The Godfather” trilogy – a so-so film that has long sat in the shadow of its two predecessors which are outright masterpieces.
The new cut clocks in at 152 minutes, ten minutes shorter than the original but it isn’t a straight ten minute cut as Coppola has apparently substantially recut the entire film which hits select theaters on December 4th ahead of a Blu-Ray and Digital release on December 8th.
