Trailer: “News of the World” (2020)

Universal Pictures has released a new full trailer for the period western drama “News of the World” which sees the re-teaming of “Captain Phillips” actor Tom Hanks and director Paul Greengrass.

Based on Paulette Jiles’ 2016 novel and adapted by Luke Davies (“Lion”), the story begins five years after the end of the Civil War. Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd (Hanks), a widower and veteran of three wars, now moves from town to town as a non-fiction storyteller, sharing the news of presidents and queens, glorious feuds, devastating catastrophes, and gripping adventures from the far reaches of the globe.

The film is still on track to open in cinemas this Christmas.
