A24 have premiered the first trailer for David Lowery’s “Green Knight”.

A retelling of the medieval tale of ‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,’ the fantasy epic sees Patel playing the knight of King Arthur’s Round Table who accepts the challenge of beheading the Green Knight. He must wait a year and a day to receive a blow in return.

Sean Connery led a previous notable film adaptation in 1984 with “Sword of the Valiant”. This version stars Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton and Barry Keoghan. It opens in U.S. cinemas on May 29th.
