Trailer: “Maxxxine” (2024)

A24 has premiered the trailer for “Maxxxine,” the third film in Ti West’s trilogy that began with “X” and “Pearl” which both released to much acclaim in 2022.

Whereas “X” was set in the 1970s and “Pearl” a prequel in 1918, “Maxxxine” unfolds in Los Angeles 1985.

The story follows Maxine Minx (Mia Goth) after the events of “X” as the sole survivor, she’s now an adult film star and aspiring actress who finally gets her big break.

As a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon co-star.

This marks the biggest cast by far of the film series, with West once again back to write and direct. The new project was first teased with an end credits trailer on “Pearl”.

Jacob Jaffke, West, Goth, Kevin Turen, and Harrison Kreiss produce the film which will hit cinemas on July 4th.
